ÖBB transformer station Simmering

ÖBB-Technische Services-GmbH operates a workshop for the servicing and maintenance of railroad vehicles, in particular also for Railjet trainsets, at its site in Vienna Simmering, Grillgasse 48. There is a transformer station on the premises at Simmering Grillgasse 48 for the

train preheating systems (ZVA) and the high-voltage testing systems (HPA). These systems will be renewed and expanded to meet the future needs of the workshop. The existing building will be extended by 1.0 m, with the control room being housed on the new upper floor. The transformer systems are located on the ground floor and will be partially renewed and extended by two additional transformer cells. The project also includes the new connection of the existing systems in building 20 and the connection of the new systems in the IC maintenance hall.
