The project includes the construction of new e-charging stations for energy distribution at ASFiNAG rest areas in the EM East - Upper Austria region, as well as local construction supervision on behalf of ASFiNAG AG.

The project includes the construction of new e-charging stations for energy distribution at ASFiNAG rest areas in the EM East - Upper Austria region, as well as local construction supervision on behalf of ASFiNAG AG.
The necessary infrastructure for e-charging stations for cars and trucks is being created at 14 rest areas (plus 2 optional rest areas) in Upper Austria.
The aim is to expand the charging infrastructure for electric cars and trucks along highways and expressways, thereby promoting electromobility and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
The new e-charging stations installed by ASFiNAG will be taken over and operated by a contracted concessionaire after completion.
Now that the planning phase has been completed and the planned construction measures have been coordinated with the relevant building authorities, in compliance with trade law regulations, the project is entering the tendering phase and awarding contracts to companies for the construction of the new transformer buildings.
In addition to the work to construct the transformer buildings, civil engineering measures, site clearance, line construction work and road construction measures are also being carried out. In addition, new lines will be laid, electrical installations carried out, low and medium voltage components installed and safety checks carried out. This ensures that the rest areas are always accessible.
