ASFINAG A02 South Highway

TM3 Construction Management is overseeing the comprehensive renovation of the A02 South Highway between Wöllersdorf and Wiener Neustadt and is assisting ASFINAG in the successful implementation of one of the region’s most significant infrastructure projects.

The construction project includes the complete reconstruction of the main lanes in both directions, the rehabilitation of the Wiener Neustadt West interchange ramps, and the repair of numerous civil engineering structures. In total, 28 bridges and two culverts will be rehabilitated in this project section, and existing drainage systems will be replaced and adapted to meet future requirements.

One of the biggest challenges is carrying out the work while the highway remains open to traffic. Detailed work planning, ongoing coordination among all project participants, and consistent quality, schedule, and cost control by the local construction supervisor ensure that the work can be carried out efficiently and with minimal impact on traffic.

A particular focus is placed on the sustainable implementation of the construction project. The reuse of existing building materials, the processing of concrete and asphalt directly on site, and numerous accompanying environmental measures place high demands on coordination and supervision. Through its ongoing on-site presence, TM3 ensures that these measures are implemented to the required quality standards.
