Conversion of stations and ESTW BHG + DG
The project includes numerous modernizations for barrier-free and sustainable infrastructure and serves the purpose of improving accessibility and comfort for travelers. The two stations are also to be made fit for the future through the planned construction measures in order to ensure greater safety.
Park & Ride and Bike & Ride facilities with 23 car and 20 bicycle parking spaces are being built in Dorfgastein.
In addition, platforms, staircases and roofing will be renewed, noise barriers erected and the passenger passageways renovated and extended. A turning loop for local public transport will also be installed.
The Park & Ride and Bike & Ride facilities in Bad Hofgastein are also being expanded with 40 car and 20 bicycle parking spaces as well as special parking spaces for cabs and short-term parkers.
The central platform will be replaced and barrier-free lifts and a tactile guidance system installed. The station building will have a modern waiting room and sanitary facilities. In addition, noise barriers, extensive cable work and the modernization of the electronic signal box (ESTW) will be carried out in order to modernize the signal and communication infrastructure.
