ÖBB TS service hall IC Simmering
New construction of the service hall at the Simmering site. Construction management on behalf of ÖBB Technische Services GmbH.

For the servicing and maintenance of Nightjet trains, a new service hall (approx. 5,600m²) with an operations and catering office building (approx. 1100m²) is being built at the ÖBB Technische Services Gmbh base in 1100 Simmering.
The existing installations were removed or relocated to clear the construction site. Bored piles up to 12m deep were installed under the hall foundations to transfer the load. The hall construction consists of prefabricated concrete columns and glulam beams. The flat roof construction consists of trapezoidal sheet metal, vapor barrier and foil and is finished off with a surrounding parapet.
To reinforce the hall, a reinforced concrete floor slab with hard grain infill is constructed. Continuous installation pits are formed for each track and the steel substructures for the track systems are installed and cast.
The extension of the hall and for the catering operations and office building is being carried out in coordination with the TGA trades and in coordination with the construction of the superstructure systems and the technical equipment of the railroad systems.
